About this compound
Dual-Source Carbohydrate
Race-day fuel, gut-friendly
Endurance gels combine maltodextrin and fructose — two carb sources absorbed through different pathways — so you can take on more fuel per hour without gut distress.
What are dual-source carbs?
Glucose polymers (maltodextrin) absorb via the SGLT1 transporter, fructose via GLUT5. Because they don't compete for the same route, a blend of both moves more total carbohydrate from gut to bloodstream per hour than glucose alone.
The science
During long efforts your gut can absorb roughly 60g of glucose per hour before it backs up — the classic cause of race-day nausea. Adding fructose lifts that ceiling toward 90g per hour, meaning more fuel reaches working muscles. Sodium citrate in the blend supports fluid absorption and replaces sweat sodium at the same time.
Why you'll use it
One gel every 30–45 minutes on runs and rides over 90 minutes, with water. Practice in training first — race day is not the time to experiment. The slim format fits any running belt or jersey pocket.
Benefits
- Higher hourly carb absorption ceiling
- Sustains pace on long efforts
- Gentle on the gut when used with water
- Added sodium for sweat replacement
- Pocket-sized, easy-open format
