About this compound
Electrolytes
Sodium, potassium and magnesium — the hydration trio
Electrolytes are the minerals lost in sweat that plain water can't replace. Restoring them keeps hydration, muscle function and performance on track.
What are electrolytes?
Sodium, potassium, magnesium and chloride are electrically charged minerals that regulate fluid balance, nerve signalling and muscle contraction. You lose them every time you sweat — and sweat rates in Australian summer training can exceed a litre per hour.
The science
Sodium is the big one: it's the primary driver of fluid retention, and losing too much drops blood volume, forcing the heart to work harder at the same pace. Potassium works inside cells to support normal muscle contraction, and magnesium contributes to normal muscle and nerve function. Replacing all three during and after sweating maintains performance and reduces cramping risk.
Why you'll use it
One sachet in your bottle for sessions over an hour, hot-weather training, or tournament days with multiple games. It turns plain water into a proper hydration drink without the sugar load of standard sports drinks.
Benefits
- Replaces the key minerals lost in sweat
- Supports hydration during long sessions
- Helps maintain normal muscle function
- Convenient single-serve sachets
- No heavy sugar load
